power heated mirrors on a first gen.

has anyone ever put the 2nd gen power heated mirrors on a first gen?
 






Yes i have, but i have not hooked up the heater part of the mirror.
 






isnt it just one extra wire?
 






Yes. The way they wire it from factory is they splice the power for the mirrors into the rear defroster, and they use an inline fuse. I got ones with the puddle lamps so i have two extra wires.
