Power locks

I am wondering if there is a way to deactivate automatic power locks on a 98 eddie bauer with keyless entry.If so i have not been able to find any posts on it and if there is would it affect the keyless entry

To deactivate or reactivate the auto lock: On the keypad enter the five digit code, then press and hold 7/8 button, then press and release the 3/4 button while holding the 7/8, then release the 7/8 button.
The horn will chirp once if auto lock was deactivated or twice if auto lock was activated.
