I have several questions for owners of Power Slot brake rotors:

How much difference in braking do you actually get?

What pads are you using?

If you had to replace them, would you go withPower Slots again?

Did you do front and rear?

Thanks.....

i havent put mine on yet. but the main reason for me is looks. if you have rims you need these. the stock rotors are fugly and covered with rust. who wants to see those nasty rotors behind your nice rims.

Al,

I put mine on about 2 weeks ago and am just about through the 500 or so mi. break in period. Without having made any really hard stops, the seat of the pants feel is more positive with a little firmer pedal feel. It’s hard to give all the credit to the rotors when in reality new pads have to responsible for some of the improvement.

For pads I went with Raybestos QS ceramics front and carbon metallics rear.

The only real down side is I can't see them with stock wheels on for winter. A problem I doubt you'll have!

Give JohnV a call. He was pretty candid about what to expect.

i like mine, better feel on the pedal, better braking power. better look. i used performance friction carbon brake pads. i still have the drum brakes though:(

but which would you want over all?

Powerslot recommends Hawk pads but I don't remember seeing anything excluding others. Anyway I thought it was worth the experiment to not have to clean wheels so much.

i have them and would buy them again. i used Performance Friction pads.

I use Performance Friction (carbon metallic) pads; I just bought a pair of the PowerSlot rotors; I will replace the old Perf Fric pads with new ones when I put on the PowerSlots...

I have about 25,000 mi on the Performance Friction pads and I was just in there this weekend greasing the caliper slides and the pads have LOTS of pad left. no surprise to me.
