I don't know a lot about the inner-workings of cars but do know how to take care of a few things myself.

But, I noticed today that my power steering fluid was at the "Minimum" line, so I went to an auto store and bought a bottle of power steering fluid and filled it to the "Max" line.

It's an '02 XLS 4x4 (4L Engine). I was talking with a friend who said I may have a leak because for "such a new vehicle" I shouldn't have to be adding any power steering fluid for a while.

But correct me if I am wrong... doesn't it get "used up" a little over the years? I bought it in October of 2001 so it's nearly a full 5 years old and ready to turn 6. Or should I look for it lowering again and then have it checked out?

Any comments? :)

If you turn your wheels when the engine is off you will loose a little fluid out the top, because the pressure is being released. If you do this often you can loose enough fluid this way. But other than that it is closed system as mentioned above
