power steering fluid replacement

Hello

I have a 2005 Ford Explorer. I would like to remove all my power steering fluid and replace it with new fluid. does any one know how many quarts of Mercon V I should have on hand for this? I was going to remove it with a turkey baster.

Why use the "dilution" method? Very easy to flush.
Changed the Power Steering fluid today

I would plan on having 2 quarts on hand for new fluid to push out old stuff. And DO NOT use Mercon V unless your owners manual says to use it. I don’t know about your year model but mine does not call for Mercon V
