Don't take it loose unless you have a new seal for the hose. The built in seal is destroyed each time the fitting is removed. I think that that takes a 16mm wrench, try to remove more of the parts around it.

The new hose came with new seals for both ends, I got it from RockAuto. (And as far as my difficulty goes, I'm mainly looking for guidance as to what tool to use to even fit that bolt and give me room to crank it outta there) I didn't think about cutting it though. All I have is socket sets.. I need to invest in a wrench set... the only adjustable wrench I have is definitely not strong enough for this job.. It's about to break.

Also... am I gonna run into spewing PS fluid during this job?... I have a bad feeling something is gonna explode or something... lol..

Little fluid should come out, just what is in the hose. You do need a good wrench for that, don't use anything that doesn't fit very well. Buy just the one wrench if money is tight, Craftsman is a good choice, avoid the cheaper stuff from parts stores.

I've discovered "Flare Nut Wrenches" ? Seems like a good investment for power steering work. I'm gonna go see if I can find one, or a set..

Yes, a Flare nut wrench or line wrench is a great tool to have. They grip tight fittings like that a little better than a simple open ended wrench.

Alright, well I got one of those nifty lil flare nut wrenches... how the hell do you guys get to these bolts?... Should I take the pulley off?... and the one on the bottom?.... the frame is practically in the way?.... Do I have to remove the rack and pinion?... I just.. idk... what steps did you guys take to get to these tight spots?

I can't say as I did mine with the body off completely. I think the fan shroud may be in the way, that would be the hardest thing to remove. There should also be a hold down bolt for the line somewhere on the left head, look for that too.

I just watched a video on it you need to take the rack and pinion loose and then shift it one side so you can get power high pressure line off. But everything has to come off stabilizer bar , power steering cooler all that has come out of there. And then you take the 2 bolts out that hold the rack and pinion in out and you can shift it over
