1996 explorer 4.0 just had intake manifold gasket replaced by shop 2 days later steering is weird almost like power steering is messing up friend said when they put it up in air sometimes this mess up power steering and system has to be bleed if this is true whats the best way to do

To bleed the system of air simply put the front end upon jack stands, turn the key to ON(don't start it), and turn the wheel lock to lock several times. Run ATF NOT power steering fluid. Power steering fluid foams up under heat and pressure unlike ATF, foaming causes whine.

And your friend is wrong, putting the car on a lift in the air will not effect power steering.

This is very interesting. So is this the reason my power steering makes noise even though it seems to be fine? I've been told that it was an indicator of a pump going bad.

to bleed the system of air properly, start the truck and go do figure 8's a parking lot, all the way from stop to stop like 6 times each times , let it sit for a bit and problem solved,,
