All of a sudden during low speed sharp turning when there's a lot of load on the pump like when parking I get pretty bad shuttering and vibrating through the steering wheel. There's no squeeling or squeaking. This started right after I coasted and steered the vehicle with the engine off. Could I have gotten air in the system or something?

Mine did the same thing.

Hello

My 1996 Explorer XLT V6 done the exact same thing. Had a bad shutter seems that my power steering fluid was a little lowand somehow it got a little air in the lines. I filles with power steering fluid and in about 2 or 3 days the air finally worked its way out. haven't had any trouble since. Hope this helps.

Try this first.
Drain the old fluid and refill with some fresh synth.

Made a WORLD of differance in my Ex.

Do you know how to purge power steering ?

No how do you purge it?

No, I'd like to purge w/synthetic also. :D

refill it and about an inch from the full mark have a buddy, start the truck ( cap off )and turn the wheels all one way, hold for a second or two, all the way the other way hold, back again, hold, do this like six times totaly, and top off. You should be good to go.

If the problem comes back swing by one Sat, we will flush that sucker out in a nice warm shop.

MMMM, warmth. Maybe a winter wash and full detail in the warmth. :p Hmm I need to pull the rear wiper motor off again. Warm shops must be nice. :)

It is a wonderful thing
