what do you all think about the powered sub enclosures? I was curous how good they sound and what the best ones are that are around. I was looking at the infinity bass link and the new kenwood powered enclosures. are these a good idea or is it best to just buy seperate components? Also can a amplifier be mounted upside down? thanks for your help.

the infinity bass link is not a bad choice if you are going for powered sub enclosures. stay away from bazooka though.

an amp CAN be mounted upside down, but it may over heat as the heatsink is designed to be mounted right side up or standing up. you can try it, if it overheats youll have to mount it another way.

I have the MTX. Its works rather well and does what I need it to do.

this is going into my 97 dodge ram extended cab so I am looking for something to stuff under the rear seat. I asked about mounting a amp upside down because I found a company on ebay that sells dual 10 inch woofer enclosures for my truck. They fit under the rear seat and the sub fires down towards the floor. I was going to install one sub in one side then put my small lighting bolt amp in the other sub hole that way it have a nice clean install. Does this sound like a good plan or find a new idea? lol

can you fit the amp on the back wall behind the seat somewhere? id stay clear of that amp as well, its :thumbdwn:

well i have had it for almost 3 years now and it works for me which right now its only powering a 8 inch mtx so for me at least it serves its purpose. I had the amp mounted behind the rear seat at one time but the bad thing is though you cant fold the back seat up with it there so I lost all my space in the back seat area.
