Powerstroke into an Explorer?

Talking about the 4.5 V6 offered in the LCF trucks. They make 200 HP and 440 ft lbs. Anyone ever tried something like this? Its something to think about, I havent seen any of these engines for sale yet. Nor have I seen any wrecked LCFs for sale either. Might be looking at $8,000 for an LCF to pull the drive line from for the swap.

I just think it would be badass to have a diesel Explorer. Im going to do some more research later.

Agreed but the world is still waiting for this to happen since no one has done it yet. There been a Cummins IBt4(sp?) that has been done to an Explorer. But no one has done any Powerstroke of any description into a Explorer yet that I know of. Just been a lot of talk about it but no action yet......

What size are these engines anyways?

Well the ones that are currently installed in Super Duties are 6.4l and the 6.0l and 7.3l
there all v-8 and quite large from what I hear then like Iceman said they got the 4.5l version in the LCF and I know of 2.8l 4 cylinder Powerstroke that installed in the South American Ranger.
