I had already bought the Lock rite for the rear when I started looking closer at the detroit line. I've talked to the people who designed the lock rite and without going into great detail here they convinced me that PROPERLY INSTALLED the Lock rite is just as dependable a unit as the detroit or any other comparable locker.

I know someone who installed a lock rite in a dana 44 himself...First day out on the trails it grenaded itself. Bad install? Faulty Components? It's a coin toss...

I like my setup, IMHO...
