Hi there!

I'm just looking for the general consensus on which option I should go for.

I'd rather not have a custom box built, and eliminating ANY cargo space is out of the question.

I've got a '99 XLT, and I'm wondering if I should get the MTX Thunderform (on special in the group buy forum), the JL Stealthbox, or the Q-Logic Qform box.

If the Qform, what sub should I put in it?

Finally, since I'm looking at the unamplified models of all of the above, reccomendations on amplifier that'll fit in the jack/lugwrench location?

Also, what 4-channel amplifiers can I fit under the rear seats, and still be allowed to fold them down for increased cargo space?

Thanks!!!

I have the unamped 10" thunderform and its works well. Not as good as a ported 12 but still can make the review mirror shake. Although I have not ever seen one I heard talk the Q-form was not as good because it was a more flexible plastic that causes response to drop off.

For the amp in the jack location I can recommend this little blaupunkt that I own> PA2100 300w bridged . If you take the plastic cover off its the smallest 300w amp you'll find, plus its cool running, and has a remote gain control. Three good things when you are stuffing an amp in a compartment.

I have the blau amp plus an old Profile 4 channel amp under the back seat. No cooling problems but I had to put a small piece of wood under the profile amp to get it off the carpet and get air moving. Also I will say I rarely listen loudly for more than 45 min so others warnings of heat problems could still be true.

For me the seat will fold flat as long as I pullout the 4 chan amp about 1 inch. When I put the seat back up I just push the amp back to keep it away from feet. My amp is pretty big and goes from the seat post up the trans hump a bit so a smaller amp and you may not have to move the amp to get the seat to fold flat.

I have a qlogic enclosure with an Elemental Designs E10O in it. Had to add a .5 inch spacer to give some more room to breathe.

Right on man. Looks great with the metal grille installed. Im getting ready to stealth my system as well. Im getting tired of all the space lost to components and subs.
