Pre wired for optional accesories??

I have a 96 X. There are a few options that I'd like to have, but the vehicle didn't come with, such as the status computer, electronic climate control and controls for the climate and radio on the steering wheel.

I know that Dodge, back in 96 at least, were pre wiring their vehicles for the options, but only installed the modules when ordered.

Did Ford do the same thing on my X?

If so, I'll be hitting the JY later this month for some scavenging fun!

No, none of those items is prewired. Some have added the console computer, 1 or 2 have added an EATC, but it involves a LOT of wiring and sensors that are not there, and the wheel controls is another item altogether and I don't think (that I have seen here) that anyone has ever retrofitted those.
