Does anyone know which is more powerful, the amp #18T806 or #18T805?
They are both Premium sound. Or if anyone knows what is the number of the amplifier that works with cd and cassette in a Ford Explorer 98-01 Thanks

No power difference

There is no "power difference" between Ford amps with base part number "18T805" versus amps with base part number "18T806". An "18T805" is an "Amplifier", an "18T806" is an "Amplifier & Bracket Assembly", meaning the attaching brackets are included with it. This is determined by how the amp is packaged in the vehicle (or installed at the assembly plant), whether it can directly bolt-in, or needs unique attaching brackets.

The Ford Dual Media (Cassette and CD combo) radio does not use an external amplifier, it has an internal amplifier. The exception is the models used in Mach Audio Systems, which use a separate Subwoofer amplifier (the 4 main channels are internally driven).

amps

Thanks Cobrajeff: I changed the radio cd for the dual media and installed the center console . All works fine except for a noise in the rear speakers.
Do do think that I have to bypass the amp? If yes , How do I do it?
Thanks again.

I believe both amps put out 30W * 4.
