price of a used transmission?

i would like to know what would be the cost of a used transmission for a 93' XLT and i would also like to know what is the cost of rebuilding the one i have. thanks.

well, more than likely a used transmission will have the same problems. I got estimated to have mine rebuilt (if i pulled it and brought just the transmission there) and they said about 500-800 bucks depending on the damage done inside.

look through the parts forums for what tranny's are usually sold for.

a rebuilt tranny usually runs about $1800 ... thats taking your truck into a shop and saying fix it....
