I am in the process of getting an m5od for my explorer and have found a couple in junkyards and also by private sellers.
What I would like to know (seeing as I dont know jack about transmissions) what do I look for to avoid a junk transmission? Can I take the top cover off and look inside and if so what should I look for?
I know this is a pretty vague question but any input is appreciated!
