Pro Comp AT tires?

I was thinking of getting a new set of tires and I was looking at the pro-comp ATs. Has anyone had any experience with these? I am especially interested to know if their snow and ice claims are true....

Mine did fine in ice and snow, but I think they show a lot of wear for only 14,000 miles. I have them on a Jeep Cherokee which isn't as heavy as an X. For rideability, rain, snow and mud they have been fine. I just don't think they will last as long as I expected them too.

Don't particularly care for mine... can't keep em balanced, they didn't measure anywhere near the 33" they claimed, and they wear too fast IMHO. They do allright in snow, but not so great on ice.

ok, thats good to know before I bought some- I guess I am looking for something else then- any ideas? A tire that is good in the snow for me is a must. I had a set of BFG ATs and I thought they were the worst tire I have ever owned.

don't know if you have Big O back there... But I'm running Big O M/T's, I've had great luck with them as far as running in snow and ice...

i got procomp AT, just put them on over the summer but I am at school in VT and I ski often and there has been plenty of snow so far this season, thank God! I like them a lot better than the goodyears rt/s. I think they work well. I have 33x12.5 so with that much contact they arent great on icy stuff but the stop me fine, never had any problems with them yet, decent street tire too. As for wear I think mine are ok but I have only had them about 5K so far. The price is great to so it was a good option for me.
