if you have 2wd, get the spindle lift. the spindle lift is a suspension lift which is always better than abody lift because it actually lifts the whole car up 3''. with the body lift you are just lifting the body up 3'' but the actual car dosent raise up. the bottom of your truck dosent go up at all with a bodylift, just the bodylift. hence the name "bodylift". go with the spindle lift if you have the choice of one or the other.

If you've got a 2wd you should be to worried about clearance issues. At 300 bux for the spindle, and 100 for the spacers... I'd go body lift. Your just basically doing it for looks anyways.

no way... the body lift costs 140 for just the kit. and unless you can install it yourself that will be another couple hundred dollars for a shop to install it, if you can find one that will install a ranger lift onto an explorer. id definatly go for the spindle, and especially if it is only for looks, because body lifts look crappy... you can see the frame because the body is lifted 3'' off of it. and the bottom of your car is just as low as before the lift!

I agree, sort of. As far as looks... your girlfriend won't notice that body gap... she'll just see bigger tires/wheels. As far as labor, I think anyone that cannot do a body lift will ABSOLUTELY have to take it into a shop for spindles. With probably a higher labor cost. Its a 2wd!?!?! Put that money towards a 4x of some kind (That's what I'm doin at least). Explorers are so heavy that making it a real baja is cost prohibitive.

here, is my idea. Do the TT/Shackle mod and get a 2" bodylift kit. I'll sure there are a couple of people in your area that wouldn't mind helping

Witha 2000... what size tires does that allow room for?
