I just noticed it last night. When my auto transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd, occasionally there is this slippage and a 1 second delay before the 2nd gear is engaged. After it happened twice today, the check engine light turned on and my explorer was overheated. I parked my car and opened the hood and the coolant level was normal. After letting it cool down for 30 mins, I drove it again and it was fine.

What do you think the problem could be? Is it my transmission or my gears or something else? I've put in 33" tires about 3 months ago and have never had a problem with it. I hope its the gears because it'll give me a reason to swap them sooner to 4.56 from 3.73. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks a lot.

Brian
