Problem or design flaw with auto climate control ?

Has anyone else with the automatic climate control noticed that after the cabin is in the set temperature range the lower console (floor) vents continue to blow warm air softly but the window defrost vents blow ice cold air ? This is pretty annoying as your arm starts to freeze ! I wasn't sure if this was a design thing or if I have something wrong going on. My truck is an 06 with the V8.

Man, search button has led me to exactly this. I have this problem, but it doesn't have to be on "auto", it will do it on my preferred setting (dash+feet) after temp is reached. I can get warm air again by bumping the temp 1*, but it will cool off again. Is this normal? I've only noticed it a few times, but I've only taken 2-3 trips over 50 miles thus far.

Yeah i think its a design flaw. My 06 does the same thing. It seems like if the cabin temp goes above the set temp then it automatically blows cooler air to cool it off.

Climate Control Over Heat

My 2006 Limited overheats initially. I was excited about my first car with automatic climate control, but it doesn't work well at all. When you first get into the car, it will heat up to 80+ degrees (Set point at 65) and keep running. Then when you stop somewhere, shut of the car and restart it, everything works fine. Has anyone else seen that? Is there anything you can do to calibrate the automatic settings?

Mine does exactly like that. The dealer can't find anything wrong.

Climate Control

My dealership checked everything and said that this is normal in how they are designed. He said that the fords have a sensor in the back that looks at the temp as well as the front. Once the entire cabin comes up to temp, it works fine. He suggested I make sure the back seat heat is one. It has helped a little. Still disapionted.
