What shattered? The glass?? There should be no way of touching the glass (even if you wanted too) until after the bulb is pulled out of the headlight socket. The black plastic (the base) that the glass is mounted in is permanent. Your new bulb should have a black plastic base that you hold it by and you put it in the headlight housing and rotate a half turn to lock it in.

Same for taking the bulbs out...grab the black plastic base and rotate a half turn to unlock and pull it out.

:frustrate
That the funny part I did the way you explainrd and the ubls blow up and there was glass all over the inside of the headlight lense

"Who wants a keg party, when you can have a off-road party." :banghead:

your bulbs didn't happen to "blow up" after or while it was raining, or did you notice it after it was raining...if water gets in there when the bulb is hot, they will blow..i know, did this on my 1989 cougar...pain in the ass to fix water from getting in those headlights!!

I Solve my problem I put de-electric grease in the headlight i got it from the auto store. also I did a little siliconing of the headlight and they might be possible leaks.

AND ALSO I SUCK AT SPEELING/GRAMMAR
DON'T MIND ME
