Well I was having trouble with the explorer lately and changed the radiator cap, flushed the radiator, changed the thermostat, put new antifreeze, and fan clutch, well to my bad luck didn't help anything, the problem was that when going down the road with the A/C the temperature was o.k., but as soon as I stopped the temperature got almost to 3/4 the range and the A/C stopped working.

So some friends of mine checked the engine to see what was wrong and a guy told me there's your problem, Since I put the Maxcool 2 core radiator on the explorer the fan shroud was almost hitting the engine and I cut about .750"-1.00" off all around the fan shroud and that's the answer to my prayers... So now we are at 110*F at a stop light with the A/C on and the needle doesn't even move.

So if any of you has this problem, take a look at your shroud and if you can't see your fan from the top...there's your overheating problem.

Hope this helps....
