I have a Polar remote starter on my X , it was there when i brought the truck so i don t know how it works .

The problem is 50% of the time i start with no problem but often the starter keep engaging even after the engine had started . I check under the hood and i found that the purple wire was hooked to the coil but have been cut and now i hooked to #5 injector .

Sometime it work , sometime not . If i start with the key it start perfectly every time .

Thanks .

you need to do the idle relearn procedure I guess, it was taking the pulses off the coil at first, now the the injector, it probably senses them differently, most accurate/easy way I found was the tach wire under the dash(still have to do the idle relearn procedure)

Can i do this procedure ? i have not found many things on the internet for the troubleshooting .

thanks for all your help

http://www.autostart.ca/ I think they make Polar Start, you might also have to manually set some switches on the unit, go into "downloads" on the site. What model is it (says on the unit), need to know that first

Indeed, it sounds like it's not getting the run signal from the tach connection.... I'd also recommend that you contact the manufacturer regarding the matter. Their tech support should be able to point you in the right direction.
