My mounty has 158xxx miles on it I have the famous transfer case problems I replaced the cv joint a couple of weeks ago the front and rear diff's are leaking and need to be flushed and re sealed. I am losing antifreeze some where and every once and a while it overheats not to bad but it does jump up, the rear brakes need to be changed. The int of it is still In perfect shape sun roof cd player fully loaded..but I don't know weather to keep it or just get rid of it I love it but it's starting to get on my last nerve with everything going on. So what would you do if you were in my shoes?

For me I consider repairs the payback for not having a car payment also I know exactly what's been done ...fact is u can go get a new car and have the same amount of issues

That is so true I really love it plus no one in my area has one with mods like I would like to do, but it has rust issues which is due to living on the coast.

Well I am going to keep the mounty I don't think I could part ways with it.. So I want to lift it and looking into a sas for it

Antifreeze leak could be the cracked intake manifold problem, as is common on 02 models. Not a big deal unless it goes catestrophic, just keep your coolant topped off. Do you have 4.0L or 4.6L? Heat "jumping up" could be waterpump, thermostat, radiator fan related.

Brakes are a cake walk to do yourself and are quite affordable, especially if all you need are new pads and rotors.

Never heard of the diffs leaking before, unless it's from the pinion seal where the driveshaft enters. That must be what you're referring to?

I too had tcase issues. Broke down and let the Ford dealer put in a used t-case with their 90-day warranty (did it a couple months ago, I'm have 132k miles), cleared up the nasty binding/shuddering in tight turns I was having after long trips. Rotating your tires at every oil change is enough to preserve an AWD tcase, the sad things is many people just don't every rotate and then get mad when their tcase starts going out.
