Ok, as some of you may know, I ordered a pair of Euro tailights from Procarparts.com, and come to find out they were defective. Apparently the seal wasn't very good around the lenses so they are filled with moisture and look very ugly.

So, I kindly wrote procarparts an email and described them my problem. It did take a few emails and replys, but they did work it out and they just emailed me saying that they sent me a new pair.

The kicker is they said that I don't even have to send back the old pair! Now I know I don't really have a use for a defective pair of Euro taillights, but still, you gotta admit, there's one company who makes up for their mistake and then some.

If you would've asked me a week ago where to get Euro tailights for 95-01 Explorers, I probably wouldn't have said procarparts, but thats what I call customer service, and making a wrong thing right. So now I would indeed highly recommend them, for one their lights are only $109, and they obviously have great customer service should you ever encounter any problem.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that they took care of my problem, and all in all I'd say you can trust procarparts. :)

More importantly, did you get the new lights yet or are they blowing smoke up your ass....
 






what exactly was defective about the ones they sent u first. If it is fixable any chance u wanna hook me up with the defective ones for a couple bucks?

im going through some crap with them. by the way, procarparts.com's ebay account is suspended!! i won some clear corners from then about a month ago. they arrived in the mail when i was home for break. i opened the box and they only sent 3 of the 4 pieces. i was missing the right side reflector. i call, busy, call again, busy. i finally get through, explain the situation, and they said they would sent out one in a few days. instead of getting to install them, i had to go back to college and wait. its been 2 weeks when i called last fri. and the guy couldnt give me a straight answer of where my package is. i called today (4-1-02) and they said it was sent out on 3-15-02. where its at is beyond me. im going to call back tomorrow and talk to a manager or something. this is getting crazy. its 1 part and they are taking forever. im sick of a runaround.

As far as people asking whats the point in having two pairs of defective lights, well only the first pair IS defective, and I'm doing to prevent the new pair from having the same problem by running a bead of clear silicone around the lense to prevent condensation from building up.

Also, I'm gonna fix the old ones. What was wrong with them is that apparently the lenses weren't sealed good enough, and moisture collects in them and it can't very well get out, so it looks pretty unattractive. But, it won't be too hard to take the lenses off, clean out the moisture, then re-seal the lenses, then they'll be just fine.

I'll probably sell them, I mean once I fix them they'll be in like new condition, well, actually, better than new technically since when I got them they were defective.

And Hartman, yeah I agree with you saying I'll believe it when I actually get the new pair. We'll see what happens.

All I can really say is, I've kept track of EVERYTHING that went on between me and procarparts. I have all the emails, therefore everything they said, including where they said they're gonna send me new lights and that I could keep the old ones, so if they every go back on their words, I have the proof right there.

I bought a set of clear corners from them for my 98 and they arrived promptly, in good packaging, and dont leak. The only thing they did wrong is include the wrong orange bulbs, which was ok because explorers already have orange bulbs. I dont have any problems with procarparts.com but with all the stuff I have heard about them on this board I dont think I will buy anything more from them.
