I'm going to be getting new tires over winter break. They are going to be 31's going on my stock wheels. I'm debating between procomp MTs and interco trxus MT. They need to be good in the snow, and on the road, as well as in the dirt and mud. Both have siping and fairly open lugs so thats why I am attracted to them. Which do you think would be best in terms of mileage and road noise, as well as traction and balancing.

I just took off my Pro Comps (265/75/16) and installed the TrXus M/T's (285/75/16). The pro Comps make a lot more noise than the TrXus. The Pro Comps also dont have the tread down the side of the tire like the TrXus. This tread really helps in sand. Both tires balanced well, with little weight. We dont have snow.

TrXus are better in the mud (maybe because of the extra width), are quieter, and look better (in my opinion)

Why not BFG ATs? I love mine. They're great in everything I've been through so far, and have great siping. They're also not that noisy.

I'm running the ProComp MT's, love them..They are alittle loud, but have not let me down yet. They clean well in mud and sand, grip well on wet pavement, and balance well. I was running the BFG AT before I got these, you can't compare them. For true traction, in the messy stuff, stay away from the AT's...

This would probably be the smartest/best choice; but if you prefer a MT, I really could recommend the BFG MT. I'm still running the old one, but it seams the KM is in all aspects even better.

BFG MT's are more for rock crawling than mudding. Their tread is too tight to clean itself. If they clog up, you dont go. I love my TrXus M/T's, but if you are looking for the best mud tire for your money, Buckshot Maxxis Mudders are the best. You can get them at any Gateway Tire store for under $400 (4 tires), and that is with a 16 inch rim. 15's are even cheaper. They only barely hum, but sling mud like crazy.

BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. (in a radial tire)

I just ordered a set of the Trxus tires for myself. I have to pick them up this weekend. I figured for $105 each, I couldn't lose. I'll let all know what I think of them in the future.

I ordered the 31x10.5x15...Unfortunatly I'm not getting them mounted until some time after Christmas because I still have some tread left on my BFG All Terrains. I'll have some pics as soon as they go on.
