1995 Eddie Bauer...
Well instead of buying some ragged out 91-92. I got a loan and bought a 1995 Eddie Baur. This one is sweet. I will try to get some pictures up someday. My questions is: How do I program/reprogram my keyless entry pad. I checked the owners manual and all paper work but it is not anywhere to be found. What can I do? I do have the previous owners # but not sure if they would like me to call. Any help? Thanks

I think you need the number that came with the truck from the factory. The number is inside the rear jack compartment on a sticker.

The sticker should be on a black box in side there, you may need a mirror on astick, and aflashlight to see it.

Get that code first, then search here for threads on how to reprogram it.

I found the default key pad code in my owners manual...might wanna try there first?

Crankcase is right, on my 97 X the keyless entry sensor is in the rear drivers side compartment where your jack is located (the washer fluid resevoir is their as well). If you look up inside this compartment you will see it. On the sensor is a sticker with your 5 digit keypad number. You will need a flashlight to read the code. This should be the same for ll X's that have keyless entry. You should'nt need to reprogram anything as that number should work with no problem.

Thanks

Thanks, I will try that when I get home tonight!

:D

keyless entry pad

xploder,

I couldn't find my permanent code when I got my 'new' 97xlt this past May. I called around to a few Ford/Mercury/Lincoln dealers, and found the best deal. They hook into the port below the steering wheel and can 'read' the code.

I also found two remote entry transmitters under the passenger seat.

Of course you know you can program a second number. And you use the keypad to turn auto doorlock on and off.

Good luck!:D
