yes it is real HID. ...the kit doesnt come with ballasts but I already had HIDs so I had the ballasts already. I believe the high and low beam is just the projector moving a piece of metal inside that increases the cutoff... with a magnet I believe. But don't quote me on it. I currently don't have the high beams operational. The connector to the stock harness is wired for a 9004 so I have to switch some wires around to make it work, haven't had time yet.
I really like the lights so far, I feel a lot better now that people aren't flashing their brights at me all the time.
i just did the install on my 97 what a pain bought new grill and everything the lighting was the easiest part. but the left light wont go in all the way . there is always tmw to hammer it out
I am glad I found this thread I am looking at going this because I'm not sure if I liked the one piece head lights hmmmm I don't know, we will see! Thank you all for sharing in this thread it will help a lot.
