Is that area legal, cause it doesn't sound like it...

Same here, powerline trails are plenty but they're all for ATV's those little *******s... but they are still fun to go down.

Well, take 95 south into Mass, to 495 to the end, which is pretty much Cape Cod. As soon as you cross the Bourne Bridge in Bourne, Cape Cod, you come to a rotary. If you go straight through the rotary, you'll see sand trails off to your left. If you go pass them, when you get to the second rotary(the Mass. Military Reservation) you'll see another set of trails if you go 3/4 around the rotary. Most of the trails are off the base, you'll know if you've traveled on because of signs. A friend of mine told me they're old Humvee training trails, but are no longer used. So they have a little of everything. As far as permission to ride, I've never had a problem driving the trails, but I've never investigated if it is totally permitted. I hope this helps out some.

After reading the threads and lokking at the pics, I can't wait to go to Race Point Beach in P-Town, it looks like such a blast! do you guys make a weekend of it or just a day thing?

Most often (twice) we've made a weekend out of it, but others are free to make as much out of it as fits their schedule.

Hopefully next year, Ike will take more days off! Hint Hint, so we can make it longer then a weekend. Iam down for doing a hotel for next year possiley if we get enough people. Group rates.

I'll get the Military discount for te hotel....lol. I would love to make a weekend out of it, anything longer then the is just paperwork.

Anyone interested in a winter run?

Unfortunately I can't at the moment.

Starting this saturday night Iam on Vacation for a full week. Depends on where and when also. I do not wheel my truck. So I would be spoting or riding along.

Anyone know when the area in P-Town re-opens?

Not till about April 15th, if I recall. I also seem to remember you can order your season permits as early as March.....I think. Don't hold me to it, though.

We should set up a weekend trip for the opening, or will it be really packed? Ill deff make it down there if I dont have duty. It would be a good oppurtunity to meet up with everyone after the winter.

Keep in mind the climate that time of year and the water temp. I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't think it'll be that warm. Wait a couple/few months till their website is updated for 2007; they provide ways to get a permit ahead of time.

I'll think about opening weekend in April, it's also not far of a drive for me, only bout 2 hours.

I'm down for the trip or any get-a-way trip that is planned. Plus by the time spring hits I'll have my baby all fixed & tuned up ready to go for some fun. Just let me know where, when & how much. ;)

So far we have our meet and greet in Providence soon, also a trip to Baxter State Park planned, and the 4-wheel Jamboree in early August. (Sandy, please post that to our calendar.) I'm also considering multiple trips to the cape for whoever can come. Jen has some other good ideas for where to go, including up on the lake in NH. I also know a good State Forest up in VT that would be a great time. This is our brainstorming thread, people, so feel free to chime in with any general ideas as to where we can go!
