I just purchased a 2001 Eddie Bauer with the 4.0 SOCH, 5 speed automatic. I have a few questions. How do i find out what rear end gear ratio i have? Also, how can i tell if it has limited slip?

There is a code for the gears on the driver's door plate. Post it here and someone will translate.

There is also a tag on the differential cover itself. So, if you're ever under there you can look for it. That is as long as it hasn't broken off or it was serviced and the tech reattached it. The tag is on one of the bolts and has the nomenclature in a more laymans term.
