This is on a 99 Eddie Bauer. I was assuming that the door ajar sensor is just not working properly but after looking around inside the door I found a few unhooked wires.

Anyone know where these plugs are supposed to go?
Also where is the door ajar sensor located?

Thanks!

The door ajar switches are located by the door latches. As for the plugs I'd look and see if either fastens onto the door panel light. Is there enough wire to get to the door latch? The black wire is the same kind that goes to the door ajar switch. But it's hard to see the plug.

To clarify, is it a problem wherein the puddle lights on the drivers door don't work (but the passenger side does), or that the puddle lights (both sides) do not turn on when you open the drivers door?

I have the same problem, but i didnt look to see if wires are disconnected in my driver door yet.

I apologize for taking awhile to get back to this issue. I had put my door panel back together before fixing this, but i got my shackles and TT done this weekend so now I have a little extra free time.

What does the door panel light do? I am not sure as to where it is located. I will check to see if the black wire can make it to the door latch area. One of them has to go to the door ajar switch I am thinking because after the car is turned off I can open the drivers door and still roll up windows and use other accessories.

No puddle lights come on when drivers door is opened, all puddle lights (drivers and passenger side) come on when any other door or lift gate is opened.

you will likely find your answer a lot faster if you take off the passenger door panel and then you can readily compare the two.
