I'm having trouble finding a pushguard/grill guard(with only the center piece). I tried to mount one for an Explorer but it didn't fit. The bumper bolts are under the bumper on Navajos and on the front on Explorers. So if anyone know any info on a Navajo fitting piece let me know. Thanks

I gave up looking for a brush guard or push bar that looked nice for the navajo and got some nice tow hooks instead. But I know that a few people like Jtang have brush gaurds on there Navajo's...

I also bought tow hooks a while back. But the only way it looks I can mount them is by drilling. And I don't see any way of tightining the nut inside of the frame.

What type of tow hooks did you get? The GM hooks that are quite popular has a "screw plate" that is a flat piece of threaded steel that can be slid into the frame rail, and won't turn inside the frame rail as you torque down the bolts. It does require drilling one hole per side (and may require fabbing some "drop down brackets") if you are running the stock bumper and air dam.

I did not have to fab any thing. I used the GM tow hooks and They came with all the hard wear to bolt them up I have pictures of them and how they are installed. E-mail me if you want them...

I bought the tow hooks that are just shaped like a hook and have 2 holes mount bolts through. I drilled 2 hole on the bottom of my frame for the first hook, but I don't know how I'm going to mount the bolts. There's no possible way to get a wrench on the top nut to tighten. My only guess is to cut a small hole in the side of the frame with a torch. I also haven't seen any hooks with the brackets that you are talking about. Thanks for the help.

Take the Bumper off and you can get inside the frame from the front.

Thanks for the help. I'll still be on the lookout for push bars/grill guards.

You can't mount an Explorer push bar.. I just thought that if you removed the lower valance then everything would be "go".
