Ok I own a 93 ranger, and am having one helluva time finding an inexpensive push bar, grill guard type thing. However, there seems to be an abundance of them for later model Explorers.

So my question is, How difficult would it be to modify an Explorer front guard to fit a ranger? It shouldn't be too difficult, but if any of you can give some input, it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

They are completely different.

so there's zero hope in doing some minor retrofitting?

Yep. It'd be easier to make your own than try to make one for a 2nd gen Explorer fit.

Try ebay.

damn.

Smitty built bumper thumper, they are bolt or welded, the bolted is cheaper, and can be bought as a push bar or grill guard. Close to your budget in price.
