My 94 explorer 4x4's, pushbutton 4x4 system resently decided it would no longer toggle the low range, the "4x4" button works fine and engauges can hear motor move and lights on dash come on, but the "Low Range" button does not engauge anymore, the lights on the dash do not illuminate and i cannot hear the motor engauging. Anyone know how to go about this problem, im new to explorers but and any advice on how to fix the problem would be excellent. Thanks!

Low range can only be engaged when in Neutral and with the brake pedal depressed.

To shift to or from low range, you must stop the vehicle and shift an automatic transmission to neutral, or disengage the clutch on a manual transmission, before pushing the low range button. the low range indicator light will then come on.
If that is not the problem then you may want to read this article on cleaning the shift motor
