Put a 96 camshaft sensor in a 95?

I currently need to replace to camshaft sensor in my 95 4.0l. I dont want to pay 300 dollars for a sensor that can't be service. Buuuut I have a 96 drive unit with new sensor just laying here. Can I put this in and have it work? The wire plug is exactly the same and from the looks of it the internals are the same with the only difference being one is servicable and one is not.

Yup. Make sure and get the cam sensor alignment tool.

sweet, already got it. Should hopefully have it in by the end of the weekend.
