I brought the truck to operating temp and shut it off. I removed the intake tupe at the TB and sprayed the crap out of it while manipulating the butterfly.

I then let is soak for a few then started up the engine. It smoked a little but not much. I sprayed the DC into the brake booster line and got lots of smoke. After about 2/3's of a can went in I quickly shut it off and waited for 10 minutes. I took for a spirited drive. I think my neighbors thought I broke my truck. It was kind of funny. Smoked for a good 2 miles then it started to subside.

I dont know if I gained anything. Idles the same (good as always) and power is the same as far as I can tell. MPG will be calculated later. I just dont think my truck realy needed this treatment. Oh well, it didnt hurt.

I thought I had read somewhere that one should not spray any type of cleaner into the throttle body, that it would damage the electronics.?? I really don't know. I use SeaFoam on my outboard all the time, but it is carbed.
Smiley, let us know how it turns out. I also posted on another entry about Seafoam Insertation point. Would be great to know what is the right way of doing it.

I did not shoot the Mass Air flow sensor. I think thats what people are taking about. No problems at all. Ill keep you posted.

Where is the Mass Air flow sensor located?

Where is the Mass Air flow sensor located?

Its bolted to the air box with a rubber tube that extends to the throttle body. I just undid the hose at the throttle body so I wouldnt mess with the mass air sensor.

OK, Then it is before the throttle body after the air intake filter? I should be able to locate that.
