Putting in amp and sub, do i need to replace my speakers too?

Im putting in a new amp and 12" kicker subwoofer. i already have an aftermarket cd player. Do i need to replace my speakers or should I be fine?

You'll be fine, though you may want to replace them to improve sound quality. How are you connecting the amp to the HU? Does it have a dedicated sub output?
 






if your speakers are in good shape then dont even worry about it, an aftermarket speaker set-up would improve the quality but you'll be just fine without them, make sure that your ground is really good so it wont be pulled out or anything because thats a PITA to figure out if you dont know
 






i dont know much about systems and the wiring and all. but its got that thing in the back of the headunit that the wires from the amp wiring kit i bought plug into. they look like the wires that are on a dvd player.
 






one red, one white... Yep- those are the amp pre-outs. Those will go from your head unit to the amp for your sub. :thumbsup:
