when i owned my 97 sport, i replaced my speakers and headunit with all aftermarket stuff. now my dad drives it, and i want to take my infinity speakers out, but if i put the stock speakers back in, can they be wired to work with an aftermarket head unit? i'm not worried about sound quality, he only drives it 10 min a day and mostly just talk radio.

they should work just fine, as long as you get the polarities right... i had an after marker stereo on my stock speakers and it was okay.

Even if you don't get the polarities right it will still work. With as little use as you say he won't even notice the phase of the speakers.

Did you cut the factory speaker plug or used an adaptor? If you did'nt cut it you should'nt have a problem with the polarity as it should only plug in one way. When their out of polarity your little bass you get from the stockers will sound like two paper plates hitting each other. If you need more help just let us know
