Q: OBD2 Connector Location?

I bought an OBD2 code reader for my 1996 XLT, but sticking my head under the dash, I'm not seeing an obvious place to hook it up. Where's the port?

it's below the steering wheel and to the left a little, it's right on the bottom edge of the trim

In case you haven't found it yet, it's not marked, at least on my '96, but it's a plain panel the same color as the dash and has an indentation ;in it for a finger. Just pops out.
