if my HU has outputs for front, rear, and subwoofers, and i am getting a 4 channel amp to cover all the door speakers, which one do i hook it up to? i don't feel like buying two amps just for the door speakers.

There should be both front and rear inputs for the amp. You'll have to buy a wiring kit specifically for a 4 channel amp.

If you get a really cool multi channel amp you can run the 4 speakers and a subwoofer off it at once. But like fox said, your amp will have inputs for each channel.

thanks guys, i bought it tonight and found what you were talking about.

your lucky my old cd player only had a right and left rca out i had to buy 6 Y adaptors cuz i ran 2 400watt amps to power all my speakers
