Question about a Ranger

A friend of my has a 92 Ranger with a 5-speed manual transmission. My question is about what kind of transmission it is. I think it's a T-5, but that's just a shot in the dark. It's completely stock with 2 wheel drive and it has the 4L. Any info you guys could provide would be very helpful.

My 4x4 book says 92 Rangers have a Mitsubishi 5-speed. The book is only about 4x4's, but I would bet it is the same tranny in a 2x4.

I am pretty sure the 2wd have a mazda built tranny. If you check out www.therangerstation.com they have a break down of the different tranys in the rangers.
