question about air intake sensor

I got a quick question. the sensor right after the air intake filter for a 2005 explorer xlt but before the mass air flow found on the tube is called what?

Intake air temp, or IAT

is it mass air flow sensor or IAT sensor

I'm just confused cuz I'm always being told different things. Some people have even told me the sensor after the filter has both the mass air flow and IAT sensor built in it.

Many do have one sensor for both inputs. If you have a separate two wire sensor in the intake duct, that is an IAT.
