Just pull the fuse. It's a 10 amp I believe, has its own.

I am glad my 2002 has them on.. wish my 1995 did. i kinda like them.

They, DRL, burn my PIAAs out too quick. I want my expensive bulbs to last as long as possible + they are a PIA to change.

Agreed, I had Silverstars, my DRLs killed them after only a few months. Guess I was stupid for leavin em on.

Thanks guys i just went and did it. It was a 15amp fuse #27 on the panel. The only thing that i losted was my backup lights. But i dont care as long as those damn DRL are off. Woo hoo so much better.

Thanks again

If you can find the DRL modual you can disconenct the electric plug. Personally, I hate DRL's & will not buy a car that has them.

well then i guess you could never buy a new vehicle???

don;t they all have them now,.

because of a safety while driving thing.

Most newer vehicles have them. If I was an engineer, I wouldn't make it so the headlight is the DRL -- I would run a small bulb for the DRL (like Tahoes, Yukons). They go out all the time, but aren't too hard to replace. But say for the newer 3rd Gen Explorers, the high beam section of the headlamp I would make that the DRL. Just my opinion.

They're not common on US vehicles. Really more of a :can: thing.
My mom's '03 doesn't have them, and I added them to my '98.

I like DRL's. Guess I'm part :can: :p

Can't speak on whether it's a Canadian thing or not, but in the favor of argument :
1. I have DRLs
2. Thought it was weird, my X has a block heater
3. Although I bought in the south (Va Beach) It has a sticker that says made in Canada ( Yes, I know some of the parts come from Canada, but this says MADE)
5. All this leads me to believe, at some point, my x was in Canada
