When i pull the turn signal back it is a lot brighter than when i push it forward.I think that when i push it forward just the high's are on and when i pull it back both highs and lows are on...It kinda of sucks having to hold the turn signal back on dark roads so i can see clearly. BTW.. i have stock headlights and bulbs.

What is the question though?

Haha sorry, i was wondering what could cause this because it just started happening not to long ago.

That's factory. Clicking forward puts on the Highs while holding it back puts on the Highs with the Lows. I think you can't keep the highs and lows on at the same time due to heat issues. But I think some people have modded it so the lows stay on with the highs.

All Right thanks my brights just seemed really dim..maybe time for a HID kit.

Get some aftermarket lenses. It will help out a ton as the stock lenses are crap. Then throw some Silverstars in the new lenses. You'll be amazed at how much better you can see.

Silverstars are awesome, so much brighter, and only about $35 for the pair

Where do you purchase them?

I bought some of those cheap Xenon bulbs they didnt do anything just made the light a blue shade and they burnt out a couple months after i bought them. Do you know where i could get a nice set of lenses?

They used to mod the old rangers, so that the dims would stay on when the brights came on. Its not hard to do with a relay and some wire. I don't recall anyone ever getting them too hot, but with they way they did it, the dims ran off a seperate wire to the battery. The brights merely tripped the relay allowing electricity to go to the dims.

I have no clue how the Xs are wired though.

you can purchase them anywhere that automotive lighting is sold. (autozone advance auto, o'reiley's, wal-mart, e-bay atc.)

something will help you light output will be replacing your stock headlight assemblies with the diamond clear ones. not sure how well they worked for other ppl on here, but for me the light output was increased significantly.

I want to get a set of those diamond clear lenses I looked online, but I'm having trouble finding them for my 2nd gen Explorer..Could you tell me where i can pick some up?

my bad, i was referring to where you could purchase the silverstar bulbs.

as far as the diamond clear headlights go EBAY. Thats the only place that i can think of that you might find them at.

I would NOT suggest buying anything from ProCarParts (PCP) or any of their sister company's.

the parent company is Alfa Otto if i am not mistaken.

gee i just moved mine higher (as in adjusted higher) and turn on my kc's when i cant see... you could mount a set in your grill and see great then
