I am over 93000 miles on my 2002 and was thinking about getting some ervice done at ford.

Transmission again and coolant flush ,, maybe front and rear differnetials fluid change..
and other things..

then today lady calls me from 1800 number from ford sayig i am ready for the 93000 mile service..
she could not tell me what was involved but wanted to schedule it for me?? made no sense..

can anyone tell me what the 93000 mile service includes for my 2002???

want to get it done and it is weird they called me as i was thinking about it...

I have no idea.. I guess they want you to come in with a Ford that has 93000 miles and hopefully leave with one that has 0 miles, lol.

I got similar calls for maintenance from the dealership I purchased it from (not a Ford dealer) and from Ford itself, where I did a few "on warranty" things. Each time, the answer was the same: "No thanks. I'll do it myself". I guess I'm the kind of customer they aren't very pleased with, hehehe... But face it, DIY is at a fraction of the cost and you actually decide what kind of quality parts/fluids go into the truck. I've heard stories where people paid for things that were never done or done half-assed (fluid changes, etc...) and they only found out about it later.

My truck is at approx. 80000 miles and the things that really needed replacing (by inspecting the fluids/parts after removal) were:

-Front & rear differential fluids (pretty dark with gray metal sediment - they're yellow when new. The rear is supposed to be good for life, but I really doubt that)
-Transmission fluid (dark, almost brown in color)
-Original spark plugs & wires (plugs were rounded off and electrodes almost gone, wires had seen better days too. Huge improvement in smooth idle after change, lower RPMs too)
-Cleaned the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) and IAC Valve (sensor dirty, valve dirty and causing bad starting in cold/humid days, but cleaning fixed it).

That's about all I have done to it as far as necessary mileage maintenance is concerned, and it wasn't expensive either (many thanks to members of this forum for advice and ideas) . Runs great, good for about another 60000 - 80000 miles before I have to do it all over again, plus some more stuff probably.

No glovebox books?

More like General Maintenance Schedule Book??
