question for a friend

Hey folks, Quick question, Can a set of manual hubs be used on a 96 Ranger 4x4? Friend of mine has this truck and his auto hubs are blown (go figure) and he has been told he must replace entire front axle in order to change to manual. Does this sound correct??

NOT correct! All Rangers thru 97 have the TTB D35 front. He just needs the Warns and the install kit.
