Question for IVT Team: When might a new version of MFT be out?

As the thread title states, do you have any (even general) idea of when a new update for MFT might be available Rebecca?

Seems like it has been almost 6 months or so since 3.5.1 came out.

If you can't say, can you at least give us a hint?

Its difficult to ask the IVT rep about future development as they are very restricted as to what they are allowed to say.

I will tell you I just came back from the 2014 Fleet Preview show in Detroit and I had the opportunity to speak with some of the engineers and executives at Ford.

I also spoke with one engineer who doesnt work for Ford but works for a company who produces electronic modules for the Interceptor program. He mentioned to me that his product development was on hold because of how hard it was to free up anyone at Ford who does software development because the marching orders from Mr Mulally is "Fix MFT"

Im as frustrated as anyone but Im hopeful we shall see relief shortly

It will also be interesting to see what software the first 2014MY Explorers come out with.

Good info. I was hoping you might chime in as well as you seem to have insider info. I was hoping that maybe there was a Q4 2013 or something vague.

Wikipedia is showing Ford Sync preview release is 5.0. Not sure where the source of that info is but hopefully the next update will be something major.

Umm, that's Sync, not MyFord Touch. Two complete separate systems.

yeah, I'm not exactly holding my breath. Just saw a post on Ford's Social media site from the Ford rep there that essentially said that they are considering it, but that they were busy upgrading all the non MFT sync versions to use it.

I doubt this generation of FMT/Sync will ever be "fixed"......At best you, I, will only see a couple improvement patches, maybe....Any new fix will be down the road in somebody elses new car, not the one your driving now.....best regards Plum

So what was your favorite "event" that day?

I was the guy on the Fusion/Escape/Focus timed course who got 42.1 three times.

Then tried the same thing on the Taurus SHO, ExplorerSport,Mustang 5.0 course

Did you do the Raptor course?.......I dont like other drivers taking me on a course.

I got 3rd place on the Telogis Road Rally though
