hi, i know i`m grasping at straws with this question , but what is the most likely cause for the" service engine soon " light to come on and stay on ? it`s not the gas cap, i`ve replaced the air filter, the engine still runs great! anyway where do i start looking ? thank you !

You'll need to have your codes read to figure out why it's on. It could be on of several hundred different things. Places like Autozone will often read the codes for free for you.
