questions about center console/ armrest bracket

i bet you guys beat this with a dead duck, but you're the pros so I gotta ask you........I got a 98 explorer sport with a bum armrest, i tried the dealer close to $300, I tried the junkyard, $125, now I turned to ebay and they have armrest brackets for $25.00, but they say 91-94, will this work in a 98? thanks in advance again and for the future cause this ain't the last of my questions. PEACE.

I have a '98 Sport too....which part do you want? My armrest in the center is just a lid that snaps closed, while my '93 had a flip down/up cushion and a box underneath it. Which are you referring to?

I'm refering to the fold down padded arm rest, it broke just above the hinge on the actual plastic plate that the padded armrest is attached to. The plate the the connects with the hinge. the hinge still swivels, but without the armrest attached.
