questions about the new ranger

hey guys its been a while since ive been on here i got a 2000 ford ranger that i bought recently that i have a few questions about it......

first off my question is about my speed i drive from dallas to lubbock for school which is about 350 miles and i tend to drive a little faster when i get around 90 mph my engine seems to double clutch and wont go any faster than 90 could this be the speed limiter or is there any modifications i can do to the engine to raise this... also my gas mileage is really bad when i drive in the city(going the speed limit that is)... what are some suggestions you guys have on what i can use to save myself some money on gas

Dunno about the speed limiter, but you might want to search for aldive's quest for 30 thread. He's getting 30mpg in his explorer (highway)
